Heart of Texas Tour

May 14-16, 2024

What better way to spend a few days in May than in the heart of Texas! Waco is known for Chip and Joanna Gaines, but there is so much more to see and do.
Tuesday morning, we will depart Lubbock and begin our journey to Waco, TX. Upon arrival we will stop at the famous Shops at the Silos and Magnolia Market to enjoy some shopping and a snack at their bakery too. After shopping we will check into our hotel for two nights, Hotel Indigo.

The next day a step-on guide will give us a tour of the city along with homemade treats for everyone to enjoy. We will see the castle Chip and Joanna renovated, Cameron Park, Baylor University, the suspension bridge, a few Fixer Upper homes, and much more. Next, we head to Homestead Craft Village for lunch, a tour of their artisan’s shops (demonstrations included), and a hay ride to see some of their farms and gardens. There will be time to shop as well.

Before returning to Lubbock on Thursday, we have a tour and tasting at the Dr. Pepper Museum, where Dr. Pepper was created, manufactured and sold beginning in 1885.
