Oasis of the Panhandle

September 18-19, 2019

We are road tripping to charming Canadian, TX! After leaving Lubbock on Wednesday, we will stop by the Woody Guthrie Folk Music Museum in Pampa, then head on to Canadian for lunch at the Stumblin’ Goat. After lunch we plan to visit the world-class Citadelle Art Foundation, tour a former vaudeville house (Palace Theater), and see the Canadian River Wagon Bridge for photo ops. We will enjoy dinner at Cattle Exchange, inside the old Moody Motel.

After breakfast the next morning at The Bucket, we will drive outside of Canadian to the site of the end of the movie “Castaway”. As we head to Amarillo for lunch we will stop in Shamrock to see a few historical sites. As usual there will be surprises along our journey!

The cost is single $353 pp; double $271 pp; triple $244 pp. Cost includes transportation, lodging, breakfast, and activities. We will meet at the east side parking lot of WalMart (Loop 289 & Quaker) at 7:30am and leave at 8am.
