Join us for a trip back in time to the 19th century, where steam railroads at 12 mph were the state-of-the-art fastest way to travel and there were no cell phones or automobile roads. The Cumbres & Toltec train is a National Historic Landmark that moves - a completely authentic steam railroad ride through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and New Mexico.
Departing Lubbock, we first travel to Santa Fe to site-see, enjoy the city's flavorful food, and spend the night downtown. The next day we will enjoy the train ride, departing from Chama, NM and eat lunch while watching the beautiful scenery go by. Then we head to Taos, NM to spend the night. Before heading home the next day we will spend some time downtown site-seeing and shopping.
The cost is SINGLE: $749 per person and DOUBLE: $569 per person. A $100 per person deposit reserves your space. The remainder is due no later than September 4. Cost includes transportation, lodging, breakfast each morning, the train ride/lunch and all activities. Call the office 806-863-3867 or email email@example.com to sign up!
It's day tripping time again! Our first day trip this fall will be to Groom, TX to see the 19-story cross, built by Steve Thomas. They have added to it over the years, so there are Stations of the Cross, an auditorium and a gift shop to see. After lunch at The Grill in Groom we will travel to Claude, TX to tour the Charles and Mary Goodnight Ranch. Established in 1877, it was the first cattle ranch in the Texas Panhandle and is restored on its original site. The bison that roam the property are actual descendants of the herd raised by Charles and Mary.
We will meet at the east side parking lot of WalMart (Loop 289 and Quaker Ave.) at 7:45am and depart at 8:00am.
The cost is $65 per person and includes transportation, lunch, and entry to the ranch. Payment will be taken at the bus the day of the trip (cash or check).
Please call the office 806-863-3867 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
