Experience the magic of northern New Mexico on this unforgettable five-day journey through breathtaking mountain landscapes, centuries-old traditions, world-renowned art, and unforgettable local flavors!
Our adventure begins in Lubbock and leads us into the Land of Enchantment, winding through the majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the charming town of Taos, New Mexico. Along the way, we will visit the moving Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire.
In Taos, we will explore the historic Taos Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been continuously inhabited for more than 1,000 years. We will also tour the remarkable Earthship Biotecture community, where innovative, self-sustaining homes are built from natural and recycled materials with a focus on energy conservation and environmental stewardship. Next, we meet friendly rescue llamas amid breathtaking mountain vistas while learning about the region’s ecology, geology, natural history, and a bit of New Mexican folklore. Afterward, you’ll have free time to browse the unique shops and galleries surrounding Taos Plaza before gathering for a group dinner in town. That evening, a memorable stargazing experience awaits beneath New Mexico’s famously dark skies. Guided by an astronomy expert, we’ll enjoy hot chocolate while viewing the night sky through a telescope and learning about the stars, planets, and constellations above.
The following day, we travel the scenic High Road to Santa Fe. En route, we will visit El Santuario de Chimayó, one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in the United States, renowned for its rich history, Spanish Colonial folk art, and enduring traditions of faith and healing. After lunch, we’ll tour New Mexico’s distinctive State Capitol—the only round capitol building in the nation. Before gathering for dinner and margaritas at a beloved local favorite, you’ll have time to experience the vibrant Santa Fe Railyard District, known for its shopping, galleries, and lively atmosphere.
Our second day in Santa Fe is devoted to art, history, and culture. We’ll begin with a stroll through the beautiful Allan Houser Sculpture Garden, home to more than 70 remarkable works of art. Next, we’ll enjoy a guided walking tour of historic downtown Santa Fe, including a visit to the famous miraculous staircase at Loretto Chapel. The afternoon is yours to explore the renowned galleries of Canyon Road at your own pace. That evening, we’ll gather for a group dinner before ending the day with a relaxing sunset train ride through New Mexico’s stunning high-desert landscape, complete with live music and unforgettable views.

The cost is:
Single: $2,041 per person (one person per room)
Double: $1,651 per person (two people per room)
Triple: $1,536 per person (three people per room)
Quad: $1,486 per person (four people per room)
Cost includes transportation, lodging, breakfast each morning, all activities, two lunches, and three dinners.
A $100 non-refundable PER PERSON deposit reserves your space (and goes toward your trip cost). A $1000 PER PERSON deposit is due no later than July 13, 2026, with the remainder due no later than August 13, 2026.
Any refunds are dependent on King’s Highway pre-paid obligations. Within 30 days of departure, no refunds are available unless someone takes your place.
