Start your spring with the beautiful flora of East Texas! First, we will travel to Tyler with a stop in Weatherford for a guided tour of Chandor Gardens. Before arriving in Tyler, we will take a short break in Grand Saline to see the Salt Palace and maybe lick the salt wall! The next day is a self-guided tour of the Rose Gardens and Museum of Tyler, then to Nacogdoches to enjoy lunch in the Azalea Gardens and check out the oldest town in Texas! That evening we spend the night in Palestine and ride the Texas State Railroad through the Piney Woods the next day. After lunch and shopping in their Main Street District we will enjoy a quick look at Palestine's Visitor's Center, the Museum for East TX Culture (located in the old high school!), and Davey Dogwood Park. We have a gourmet dinner planned by chef and owner Simon Webster at Aubergine at Sabor a Pasion our last evening of the tour.
